Loughrea Youth Project

Loughrea Youth Project is a community-based youth project supporting young people 10-24 from Loughrea town and the surrounding areas. The project supports young people in their social, personal and educational development through a variety of activities and programmes including educational supports, creative activities, international youth exchanges and a range of issue/ topic-based projects. The project works closely with young people, parents, agencies and organisation to provide a youth space that meets the needs of the young people in the Loughrea area of County Galway.

The services we provide young people are:

• Small & Large Group Activities: Chill sessions, creative workshops, and focused discussions, events, games, and community projects.

• One-to-One Support: Talk privately with a youth worker about anything that’s on your mind.

• Outreach: We come to you - connecting with young people in schools, communities, and local spaces.

• Trips Away: Fun and educational outings to explore new places and build friendships. We also take part in European youth exchanges.  

• Youth-Led Events: Help plan and take part in large group events and campaigns.

• Advocacy: We’ll help you speak up about issues that affect young people with our youth council. We will help you get supports you need.  

• Volunteer Support: If you’re a young volunteer, we’ll support your journey and help you grow.
