Tuam Youth Project offers a vibrant, youth-led space where young people can connect, express themselves, and build skills for life. Rooted in the values of inclusion, empowerment, and community, the project supports young people through a wide range of programmes tailored to their interests, identities, and developmental needs.

Whether through creative workshops, one-to-one support, or community engagement, Tuam Youth Project provides opportunities for personal growth, social connection, and civic voice.

Examples of Programmes and Activities:

  • Small & Large Group Activities: drop-in sessions, creative workshops, attend events, play games and get involved in community projects.  
  • One-to-One Support: Talk privately with a youth worker about anything that’s on your mind.
  • Trips Away: Fun and educational outings to explore new places and build friendships. We also take part in European youth exchanges.  
  • Youth Advocacy: Tuam Youth Council is a space for young people to speak up about issues that affect young people in Tuam.
  • Transition Programme: Supporting young people for the transition from primary to secondary school.  
  • LGBTI+ Supports
  • One to One Support
  • Group Activities – Youth-led activities such as creative workshops, games & community projects
  • Drop-In Sessions – Chill out with friends in the youth café  
  • In- School Programmes - Supporting young people with issues that affect them & programmes such as Transition Programme which supports young people who are starting secondary school.  
  • Personal Development Programmes – Building life skills, self- confidence and make friends
  • Soccer Programmes - Take part in soccer group & the annual Tournament held
