Empowering Young Voices Across Galway

Galway City Comhairle na nÓg provides a powerful platform for young people to shape local and national policies on the issues that matter most to them. Supported by Galway Cityy Council and the Department of Education and Youth, members meet monthly to discuss youth concerns, engage directly with decision-makers, and lead meaningful change in their communities

Each year, the group hosts a county-wide Youth Conference, where young people vote on key topics affecting their lives. The elected theme becomes the council’s annual focus, guiding research, collaboration, and advocacy efforts with local and national stakeholders.
